Background
A redesign isn’t the solution to every poor performing website. In some cases though a client comes ready to make some big moves. The attorneys at Cohen & Cohen, out of busy New York, were ready to make bold moves to bring a new competitive edge to their attorney website.
During our initial phone calls it was repeated over and over again that the current solution just didn’t fit the reputation of the firm. The site wasn’t really turning over quality clients they were looking for and the design itself didn’t hold a candle to some of their competitors, for which there are many. New York is a city full of attorneys, and if your website doesnt come correct, you will be passed up.
Reputation that stands above the rest.

Considerations
When starting a website redesign its good to know what is working and what isn’t. looking through site analytics you can see where users are entering the site, where users are sitting, what’s most popular and where the gaps are.
Attorney bio pages are some the most heavily trafficked pages, however the original site only linked to them in the main navigation. Not only was this an opportunity to direct some traffic, it was the perfect way to showcase some of the important faces at the firm.
The original site had a clunky mobile version that did the bare minimum. During the redesign of the site I took the opportunity to create clearer contact avenues for potential clients to get a hold of the firm. A large click-to-call number made contacting the firm on the go much simpler.
